Lead Pastor

Rev. Joshua Ryu

Rev. Joshua Ryu is the founder and Lead Pastor of Grace Central Presbyterian Church. Rev. Ryu graduated from the Tyndale University of Toronto, received his M.Div, was ordained as a Presbyterian Minister under KPCA, and has been serving His Church since 2009.

Rev. Ryu planted GC in 2017 with the calling from the Edmonton Central Korean Presbyterian Church. He is married to Sharon and has two kids: Donovan and Dominique.

His greatest passions are mission, discipleship, the Raptors, and sneakers.

Christine Lee

ORDAINED DEACON
Christine is not only a founding member of Grace Central but also the fruit of our mother church. She grew up and has faithfully served the mother church over the years, and now she is fully serving GC, together with her husband, Joshua Kim. Having two little children, Matthias and Asher, she mainly serves in the children’s ministry.

Joshua Kim

ORDAINED DEACON
Joshua joined Grace Central in 2019 after moving from Ontario. He is married to Christine Lee and has two children. Even though Joshua is very quiet, he has the heart of a giant to serve and love God's people. His servanthood is displayed in the Audio Video ministry and Lifegroup ministry.
Sam Han

ORDAINED DEACON
Sam started attending Grace Central in 2018. He is an audio specialist and producer who has worked on various performances and sound equipment installations. Sam utilizes his skillsets to serve the GC praise team. His passion is to spread the gospel through church planting and worship.
Jessica Do

ORDAINED DEACON
Jessica initially started attending Grace Central worship in 2018 and decided to commit fully in 2019 as a church member. She has since been serving on the praise team and as a leader of the Lifegroup ministry. She is also leading GC web and graphics designs. She is a mother of one child and serves GC along with her husband, Sam.
Christine Kim

ORDAINED DEACON
Christine Kim joined Grace Central in 2018. She led her husband to GC in the hope of Christ’s relentless pursuit of his heart. Graciously, he met Jesus through life in GC and was baptized in 2019 to give his life to Jesus forever. Christine is the vocalist on the praise team and is eager to serve the church and her people wholeheartedly.

David Lee

WORSHIP DIRECTOR
David joined Grace Central in 2020 with his wife, Esther. He has a passion for praise and quickly established himself as a GC Worship Director to lead the praise team. David sees the necessity of building an English congregation within the Korean immigration church context as many next generations have no place to root and establish. Such vision led David to serve in the Lifegroup ministry as a leader to create a community for the next generations who seek to grow in Christ.
Joseph Namgoong

AUDIO VISUAL MINISTRY DIRECTOR
Joseph transitioned to Grace Central from the youth group of the mother church in the summer of 2019 and has served GC as audio/visual director. He is also a leader of the University Lifegroup ministry to demonstrate Christ's influence among his peers.
Sharon Ryu

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DIRECTOR
Sharon moved to Edmonton in December 2016 to join her husband's calling to serve the city of Edmonton. She is a mother of two, and through Motherhood, she has developed a heart for the next generation. She provides love and care for our youngest members of Grace Central while parents attend service.
